Chinese Authorities Crack down on Chinese Christian Lawyer for Defending Human Rights
Our Chinese brother faces a life sentence – for defending human rights Chinese Christian lawyer Jiang Tianyong has not been seen since he disappeared last November. Now, his family have been told he’s been charged with trying to overthrow the regime – and faces a potential life sentence. Jiang Tianyong went missing as he returned from visiting the family of a fellow lawyer who had been detained during the July 2015 crackdown on ‘dissidents’. Jiang is thought to have been held incommunicado in an illegal ‘black jail’ until now. Please pray for peace and perseverance for our brother Jiang Tianyong […]
Release of Petr Jasek
SUDAN: FREEDOM FOR OUR CZECH BROTHER PETR February 27, 2017 Czech Christian aid worker Petr Jašek is reported to be safely back in Prague after Sudan’s President pardoned him and released him from jail yesterday. Prayer request for the suffering Church
We at Gilnahirk Baptist have found it a useful tool in praying for some of those who have been Imprisoned for their Faith and their families by looking at some of their pictures. It puts a face to the name and makes it more real. These people are suffering because they believe in Jesus Christ. China: Pastor Yang Hua has been in police custody since December 9 ,2015, when he was detained after he resisted the authorities attempts to confiscate a computer hard drive belonging to the church. On 22 January 2016, the authorities increased the severity of the charge […]
