As part of our vision series #InOutUpThro we are examining each of these four movements and working out exactly how we can begin to move in that direction together as a church.
We are a church that moves Up, responding in worship to our Triune God – worship that engages our entire lives and is expressed formally when we gather together as his people every week. These are our objectives as a church that moves Up:
1. Establish a service planning team
As part of our commitment to meaningful and engaging weekly worship gatherings, we shall form a small team of people to help add creativity and depth to our weekly services.
2. Identify and train existing and potential leaders of congregational worship
Leading God’s people in worship is a high calling and so as a church we will provide training, resources, discipleship and opportunity for those people that God has gifted to lead worship.
3. Provide clear routes of access for all-age integration into whole body worship and service
We want Gilnahirk Baptist Church to be a place where people from all walks of life and all ages find their home. This means we shall be intentional about providing clear places where children and young people can take up positions of service among the family of God at the church.
4. Research and develop spiritual formation strategies
Thanks to the wide diversity of personalities and gifting within the church, we know that people need to discover ways that they are best ‘wired up’ to offer worship to God. Whilst we focus on our worship together as a church, we want to investigate and equip the church with resources for spiritual growth and worship, tailored for each person.
